A Circuit Approach for the Electromag- Netic Analysis of Inhomogeneous Cylindri- Cal Structures
نویسنده
چکیده
An equivalent circuit, made of the chain connection of a number of T-type two-port networks, is proposed for the very accurate representation of the frequency-domain behavior of radially inhomogeneous solitary cylindrical structures, the individual two-port networks being made of frequency-independent R, L and C lumped elements. The accuracy of the model is dictated by the number of two-port networks, a number that increases with the frequency. The equivalent circuit approach is validated with the help of an application example concerning a special type of inhomogeneous tubular structures where exact closed-form field solutions do exist.

Surface Waves of Finite Size Electromag- Netic Band Gap Woodpile Structures
This paper studies the surface modes at the interface of finite size Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) woodpile structures. The impact of different types of woodpile terminations on the properties of these surface modes is analyzed. For all the studied terminations there exist surface modes which must be taken into account when designing components based on this EBG structure.
متن کاملAxially Symmetric Transient Electromag- Netic Fields in a Radially Inhomogeneous Bi- Conical Transmission Line
In the present paper a novel mathematical model of physical processes of transient electromagnetic waves excitation and propagation in a biconical transmission line with radially inhomogeneous magneto-dielectric filling is proposed. The model is based on time domain mode expansions over spherical waves. The basis functions of the mode expansions are calculated analytically. The mode expansion c...

متن کاملChiral Dynamics and Heavy-Fermion Formalism in Nuclei: I. Exchange Axial Currents
Chiral perturbation theory in heavy-fermion formalism is developed for meson-exchange currents in nuclei and applied to nuclear axial-charge transitions. Cal-culation is performed to the next-to-leading order in chiral expansion whichinvolves graphs up to one loop. The result turns out to be very simple. Thepreviously conjectured notion of “chiral filter mechanism” in the ti...
متن کاملRecent developments in configuration design and optimization of mineral separation circuits; A Review
The present research reviews two basic approaches for the separation circuit configuration analysis. The first approach is to optimize the circuit configuration. In this method, after a circuit modeling, a variety of search algorithms and mathematical optimization methods are used. Previous works show that this approach has more application in the flotation process. The second approach called t...
